Come on, my star is fading.
“Amsterdam” by Coldplay
Visited Amsterdam and the famed Red Light District last week. With no offense to the people of Amsterdam and the Netherlands, it wasn’t my thing. Perhaps it was the gloomy weather that accompanied us throughout our weekend there, or the lack of time to accomplish all that we had wished. Nonetheless, I found myself missing London. I’m sure in a...
An ocean apart.
I love this city. No doubt about it. Though the busy streets and cold rain have brought about a small frown, I love it and I embrace all the magic it brings. However, it has proved difficult for me to be so far from home. Long story short my father spent a few days in ICU this past week. Let me just say, I don’t think I’ve cried so much in such a short period of time. Rough...

In the past two days I have come to a new understanding of this quote. Everyday people are fighting battles the world does not know. Be kind. Be a friend. Be mindful.

My photography professor introduced our class to this website in class. I found it blog worthy and fascinating. It then led to me ask, like history does fashion and style repeat itself as well? Is there such thing as an original idea or thought?
London Rain.
I finally met the famous London rain this afternoon. Although it was not a downpour which often strikes Florida it was enough to put a bit of a damper on the travel plans, but not enough for cancelation.
The plans this evening included getting lost in Harrods, and getting lost we did! If you have never been to Harrods it is hard to fathom the immensity of it all. Designers line every wall,...

No witty title.
Learning lessons. For a city as densely populated as London is, it is surprisingly very quiet. In no way whatsoever am I saying London is like the countryside, however, I have noticed Londoners often keep to themselves. Riding the tube today for instance, conversations were kept low if conversations were even going on. I now understand their annoyance with Americans. No doubt about it,...
Forgot something I should remember.
London is beautiful! No doubt about it. All things considered, with the cold and clouds, it is beautiful. The mix of the old and the new seem to be present at every corner and it is utterly outstanding! I guess all this amazing has led me to forget one key factor about studying abroad. That factor being the fact that I am studying abroad. These past few days have been somewhat of a live in...
There’s more to the UK than London, remember that.

Not exactly smooth sailing.
London time: 8:41 pm
Whoa! Excited past exhaustion might just be the best way to express how I’m feeling at this very moment. However, I’m happy to say I’ve finally made it to London. The plans on getting here weren’t exactly what was planned. BUT! I can now say I’ve hit three countries in one day!
Abridged recap. Flew out of Ft. Lauderdale around 1pm...
Have desires. Will travel.
Today’s the day. Flying day.
It’s currently 2:29 AM and I’m still packing. I think I’ll be packing until I leave. I’ll be worrying longer after that though. Here’s to safe travels and all the fabulousness that awaits!
P.S. As fab as the world is, when you have a family like mine, it makes leaving difficult. =\ I miss them and I have yet to leave.
Because sometimes there is no easy way out. You just have to grin and bear it. ...

Good morning Monday!
Monday-the day to get back to our bump and grind, whether it be school or work. Growing up I always dreaded Mondays, especially the Monday that followed the holidays. However, as most people go back to work and school, on this particular Monday I am running a few errands and catching up with a lost friend, but I had to do a few sad things first.
Today marks the first day...
The sweetest goodbye.
Ilsa: But what about us?
Rick: We'll always have Paris. We didn't have, we, we lost it until you came to Casablanca. We got it back last night.
Ilsa: When I said I would never leave you.
Rick: And you never will. But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that. Now, now... Here's looking at you kid.
